Action Journalism
Perhaps best known for his sports journalism, George Plimpton was also the editor of the Paris Review. He also participated in non-sporting activities like playing with the New York Philharmonic. He also wrote many interesting profiles. I recommend his Best of Plimpton for reading. He died, after living a charmed life, on September 26, 2003. |
